The task of this invention is to extend the range of active chlorine concentration in anolyte disinfectant and produce disinfectants with adjustable active chlorine concentration ranging from 1000 to 8000 ppm with a simple method by means of a diaphragm electrolyzer, without using external circulation circuits and Peltier elements.
Envirolyte EL – … HD or ELA – … HD anolyte machines are also designed to produce anolyte using lesser amount of salt and energy. About 3,0 g of NaCL and ~ 4,3 W of energy are required to generate 1 G of FAC which is accordingly 5 and 3 times less than in standard EL or ELA machines.
High concentrations of FAC in anolyte may be required for some markets like municipal water treatment, industrial applications where high level of FAC may result in savings on other installation components such as dosing pumps, storage tanks etc., also businesses bottling and packaging anolyte for retail may see it as a benefit.
Apart from high FAC concentrations,salt and energy consumption Envirolyte ELA – … HD anolyte generators have some distinct differences from our standard ELA or EL type of machines such as:
- as always pH of HD anolyte depends on pH of the source water but generally it is pH ~7,5. It is standard specification of HD type of generators but optionally pH can be regulated in the range pH ~5,5-7,5. Regulation of pH requires installation of some extra components in HD machines. Therefore your requirement for pH correction should be specified when ordering;
- contrary to the standard anolyte generators HD type of machines do not produce catholyte as a side product in a commercially viable volumes. Flow of catholyte is ~ 0,4% of the total flow specific for a particular machine, it is totally based on water and can be safely disposed to environment. Therefore should your application imply use of catholyte we advise to consider EL or ELA standard anolyte generator or special catholyte generator;
The products portfolio of HD type of generators in term of output capacity of anolyte depends on FAC requirement but generally it is similar to EL or ELA products range.
Installation requirements for HD type of anolyte generators are similar to those of EL or ELA type of machines.
